Circadian Contraptions day 193
Most of today was spend working on a new material for my printer. I have some lovely black nylon that i can print with, that has the prettiest shine to it as well. Its sturdier than PLA, but it needs some extra settings. Unfortunately, I’ve not figured out how to prevent warping, so my preferred … Continue reading
Circadian Contraptions 155
Yesterday was a slacker day where I totally forgot to make a contraption, so today you’ll get a double shot again. I’ve been working with my 3d-pen to see if i could make a bit more complex wireframes. It’s still relatively simpel, but here’s the first contraption of today.
Circadian Contraptions Day 147
I started out with my 3d pen making a bicycle. After having some experience with the pen, I was wondering what a new bicycle would look like. So of course i drew an older one. I rather like the old style bike, and think the idea came across well. The only thing i’m really not … Continue reading
Circadian Contraptions Day 143
Continuing my work with the 3d pen I did two smaller projects today. One was to draw basically a 2 butterly and see how that turned out, the other was to go more into the actual 3d space. For this I chose to draw a batwing (easier than bird wings, no feathers). I might make … Continue reading
Circadian Contraptions Day 142
Today was back to 3d drawing. I love the smell of incense, but I never think of getting a good incense holder when I’m out and about. So today I took my time to draw one. Its not quite finished yet, it takes a lot of time to draw with any sense of consistency, but … Continue reading
Circadian Contraptions Day 129
Another day, another doodle. It feels a bit like doodling when i draw with the 3d pen. Normally when one draws, the pressure put upon the paper describes how thick a line will be. With 3d doodling it is not the pressure, but the speed of movement that dictates how thick or how straight a … Continue reading
Circadian Contraptions Day 10000000
Okay, as a geek I just couldn’t let the 128th contraption go by without adding in the binary notation for it. Seems a lot more impressive no? Anyway, I’ve continued with my 3d pen to learn to draw with it. After a bit of work i figured out how to make solid plains that did … Continue reading
Circadian Contraptions Day 124
So last week I ordered a 3d pen on sale, and today it arrived. It’s harder to draw with then it seems, but it’s a lot of fun messing with it. Today’s contraption is a couple of tryouts, and a semi-successful bicycle made with this pen.
