Pencil and Paper

Circadian Contraptions Day 208

After a few days of fretting about my lost webpage I’m back on track (and my page is working properly again). I’ve continued on the flourishes for the project i’m working on. I’ve decided to go with the dark leaves as the image becomes stronger, even though it looses some detail in the leaves itself.

Circadian Contraptions Day 207

I’ve been working on the Victorian flourishes today, and the result has been added to the laces. On a whole i like most of it, but for now they lack consistency. The left really needs more attention, but I’m going to need to sleep on it, because after three redo’s it only got worse. So … Continue reading »

Circadian Contraptions Day 205

As I mentioned yesterday I’ve got something of an idea in mind for which i needed a few elements. The rose, which is not final yet is one of them. Today’s piece of the puzzle are the laces. They are not super detailed but they are clear drawn and I’m rather happy with them.

Circadian Contraptions Day 204

I have an idea in mind for something to design. But to make that I first need to learn a couple more things to draw. Laces, Victorian patterns and a nice red rose that is in full bloom. Today was dedicated to learning how to draw a rose. I’m not happy with it yet, so … Continue reading »

Circadian Contraptions Day 202

Nightmare fuel. There’s not much that can describe this contraption better than these two words. pix2pix set up an awesome but horrifying tool where your line drawings get converted into “realistic” faces. I use the term realistic very freely here, I am aware of this. The picture shown here is a combination of 3 line … Continue reading »

Circadian Contraptions Day 182

Mixed reality is always fun. So in the spirit of Roger Rabbit, I’ve decided to let Courage loose on Ypenburg. I’m betting he’s waiting on Muriel to come pick him up.

Circadian Contraptions Day 181

I felt like drawing pen and paper style again. So I picked a cartoon that I’ve loved since the show began ages ago. A tiny pink dog by the name of courage that despite being scared of literally everything, overcame the creepiest of challenges.

Circadian Contraptions Day 162

So a couple of days ago I got a lot of drawing supplies. One of the first things i did was color in some of the drawings i made. So here’s the two that turned out best. The color is not quite even yet on the markers, but that’s just practicing with them I’m hoping;) … Continue reading »

Circadian Contraptions Day 160

I’ve continued with my original character from yesterday, cleaning it up, making some of the adjustments I mentioned yesterday and given him a tentative name (I need to do some research on other usage of the name), Pete Pencilneck.

Circadian Contraptions Day 159

So I’ve been drawing a lot of known cartoons so far. All following strict guidelines on how to draw their faces, their bodies, everything. Not much original, but the purpose here was learning. So today I decided to try and make a character of my own. Something unique. In later versions I might make the … Continue reading »
