A home for voided heroes |
A month and a half in and still going strong. This drawing was digitally made after a photograph of a fox. 3 layers. The first layer has the photograph, on which I draw the first sketch. After getting the important lines, the photo goes invisible, a new layer is created and i put the Final lines on it. Finally release the sketch layer as well and voila.
The little fox here was made with about the simplest tutorial there is. One picture with guidelines, one picture with the end product. Doesn’t come much simpler than that (and still be able to call itself a tutorial).
In honor of the party I’m throwing at eden this Saturday I’ve made a version of the Eden Logo to suit the party; A Very Muppet Christmas:
The Social Justice Warriors are ruining a lot of things. Or so we are led to believe. I know there’s some really special snowflakes out there, and the third wave feminists seem to be harming feminism more than doing good. But the SJW’s? I hardly see or hear them to be honest.
You know who I do see and hear everywhere? The social injustice warriors. “There’s only 2 genders!”, “Before we know it we’ll have people identifying as a garbage truck!” Hundreds upon hundreds of meme’s, comments, posts, news articles, etc exclaiming how upset they are with the rights demanded by the special snowflakes. I’ve reached the answer to life, the universe and everything it seems.. But what was the question? I guess it’s all in the eye of the beholder. Today’s eye was drawn from the top of my head, no examples, no tutorials, just going with what i know of the human eye. The corners are lacking because i know too little of them. Later on I will redo this exercise, but with a tutorial, to see what all i missed. I’m curious as to how much a difference it will make. 🙂

It’s a pony! The base was done through a tutorial, the personalizing was from the top of my head, my own design (so no, dont try to figure out what pony this is 😛 )
I’ve promised myself to work on hands, and though its not nearly as good as i want it, its loads better than the broken thumb my minion had. More practice, and it might one day be perfect 🙂

Today’s sketch is a minion. Not much to say except that i really could use some more practice on drawing hands. I guess i should start working on a tutorial for that somewhere this week 
The glass I’m happy with so far. The candle looks great i think, but the candleholder needs some reshaping, and the flame still looks like crap. I would also want to see the flame reflected in the glass, which at the moment is all but invisible there.
The scene evolves and slowly gets more body. What also has a good body? A nice red wine. An empty glass is a bit sad, so i decided to fill it up with a nice Bordeaux. The surroundings need a bit more work, the reflections on the glass seem a bit weird by 2 different kinds of wood used and I want some more items to complete the image, most probably involving a candle and some fruit. But i’ll get to that another day.
