Sometimes I’m not feeling very inspired. Luckily, when I just start to do something, and mess about, inspiration will usually follow. Today I was (eventually) inspired by Andy Warholl.

Circadian Contraptions Day 135
The poster I made a few days ago was for an event in Second Life. To make an event complete, the place needs to look the part, so today’s contraption is the set that i made, where we held the party. A deserted ruin with a magical summoning circle was the stage for tonights Craving The Raven
Circadian Contraptions Day 134
After messing with a portrait of myself to make a stylized black/white version, I’ve decided to superimpose that same stylized portrait and play with it a bit. Two versions have come from this. One where its basically just the silhouette over an existing picture, the second a bit more interesting where the silhouette shows a different version of that same photograph, making it seem kind of like a window into a new reality.
Circadian Contraptions Day 133
On sunday I shall be hosting a party in second life at the girls club Sisters of Eden, where the main theme shall be “gothic”(read symphonic) metal. In order to announce this party I made a poster and this shall be my contraption of the day.
Circadian Contraptions Day 132
I’ve been asked to get a countdown clock for my department, for something that is about to happen soon. After looking around a little bit and not seeing exactly what I wanted, I decided to make my own. Today’s contraption is not about the photo, but the webpage i build. With HTML, Javascript and StyleSheets i made this countdown clock.
Circadian Contraptions Day 131
Today I’ve gone straight from work to an awesome party at the ZiggoDome that lasted till past midnight. Today’s contraption is thus a picture taken there, with a bit of editing.
Circadian Contraptions Day 130
Today we went out with 20 coworkers to celebrate 3 birthdays. We had a lovely dinner at Simonis, a fish storeOne of the pictures i took there went up for “aging” today.
Circadian Contraptions Day 129
Another day, another doodle. It feels a bit like doodling when i draw with the 3d pen. Normally when one draws, the pressure put upon the paper describes how thick a line will be. With 3d doodling it is not the pressure, but the speed of movement that dictates how thick or how straight a line will be. I started out with a design in mind of a heart within a heart, and ended up doodling this little thing down here. I don’t think I’d wear this around my neck, but this has the potential for some fun and very unique jewelry.
Circadian Contraptions Day 10000000
Okay, as a geek I just couldn’t let the 128th contraption go by without adding in the binary notation for it. Seems a lot more impressive no? Anyway, I’ve continued with my 3d pen to learn to draw with it. After a bit of work i figured out how to make solid plains that did not suck as much, and used that technique to make the windmill shown below.
Circadian Contraptions Day 127
Going through my older pictures for inspiration I ran into a picture of the #tonomats, who’s lead singer/guitarist was in a rather striking pose that just invited me to enhance. Unfortunately the resolution of the picture was a bit low, but I think I still managed to do something nice with it.
